Imagine how much hope this one cross inspired for all citizens of Stockton!
A glorious view from the top of an iconic structure amongst the Stockton, CA skyline. St. Mary of the Assumption Church graces the downtown area with it's gothic spire constructed in 1893. I recall in my early childhood years, my father took me to Washington Park for ice cream. The park was a beautiful grassy plaza, directly in front of the church, lined with tall palm trees. Although the Crosstown Freeway has taken yesteryears park away, I will always remember looking atop the steeple at the cross as that child. I now wish my father could see these photos and videos I captured for all of Stockton to see.
Enjoy the view!
