Flew the camera drone over water and took some dramatic shots after a rainstorm. The storm cleared the water hyacinth from the mid-channel and lined the shoreline. I launched from a scrap of plywood on top of a rock campfire ring near the water and maneuvered just over 3-4 ft above the waterline. Took only one battery pack with me and made for a very short flight.
The location of this shot was at the end of March Lane before you arrive at Ladd's Marina. Locate the road on your right and take it up the levee. Drive till you pass the launch ramps and marina till you get to the main channel. An ideal location for sunsets is opposite the open metal building. There you will find less tree obstruction's and a straight way view down the San Joaquin River channel toward's Windmill Cove. Time it right somewhere in September and October where the sunset is at the end of the straight way where you will get the impression that the sun sets on the river. I can't seem to locate those shots in my digital archive but will post when I do find it.
Enjoy life's sunrise and sunsets! They are the best things not to miss. Find your favorite spot(s) and view it with friends and the ones you love. Go enjoy that moment in life.
